THE EUROPEAN/INTERNATIONAL PEDAGOGICAL ICT LICENCE
WHAT WE DO
The EPICT/IPICT Certification sets an international standard in teacher education.
Established in 1998, the EPICT Consortium and the Licence Qualifications have been accessed and supported by Governmental and Academic Institutions across the world. The aim of the qualification programme is to set a benchmark in the area of teacher education and the use of technology in teaching. The competency framework is overseen by a number of Professors and IT Experts.
The qualification is regularly updated by experts in the field ensuring that EPICT/IPICT is a hugely popular, trusted and authoritative certification. We work with a range of organisations to help maintain and build our EPICT Community domestically and internationally. We are always keen to speak to interested parties who would like to provide the certification programme within their nation. THE INTERNATIONAL SECRETARY
CHAIR OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND UAE GROUPS
EPICT was originally developed by a National Ministry of Education in the late 1990s as an ICT improvement certification devised by teachers for teachers focusing on the specific needs of the teaching profession. The qualification was subsequently adopted by many Europe nations and it was re-designed and introduced to the UK in 2005. Since then it has been used within many countries worldwide.
Over the last 20 years, in excess of 40,000 educators across 19 countries worldwide have been proud to display their EPICT/IPICT Certificates of competence enabling them to prove their competency with technology.
