Certificates

EPICT- The International CPD qualification for education and training professionals.

EPICT allows you to prove your competency with teaching and technology and attain a recognised qualification while you work. Hundreds of organisations throughout the United Kingdom and beyond are using EPICT to improve staff performance and enhance learning.

How does it work?

EPICT candidates study, gather and present evidence of their use of technology in order to attain EPICT modules. The modules in turn build towards their EPICT certificates.

Support and Assessment

Candidates undertake their EPICT Certificates with support from an experienced EPICT Facilitator. Their EPICT Facilitator mentors them and assesses their portfolio.  EPICT is an in-service, evidence based qualification - there are no examinations - participants submit short, work-based reports to their assigned Facilitator.

Schools can choose to have one or more key member of staffs trained as EPICT Facilitator/s or alternatively can engage the services of an approved EPICT Provider. For more information on becoming an EPICT Facilitator - click here To view a list of approved EPICT Providers - click here

“The skills I have developed during the course have allowed ICT to have a significant impact on the work I do in my classroom. I have since completed the Facilitator training and am beginning to work with other staff to support their training.” Vicky Bain – EPICT Licence Holder

“As a staff we have all worked together on the esafety aspect of our EPICT. It has pulled the whole staff together and given us a shared understanding of how to help the children stay safe”
Linda Sams, HeadTeacher

Case Study - "I use Qwizdom ...."

Mrs Muggoch is a Senior Years teacher at Helensburgh Primary School.  She has been using interactive voting technology and presentations with the pupils since the school purchased Qwizdom sets 18 months ago.  Her evidence of use within several lessons, enabled Mrs Muggoch to achieve EPICT Silver Award by satisfying the criteria for the following modules:

ESafety Awareness

Locating and Incorporating Online Resources

Creating Learning Materials

Presentation Technology, IWBs and Interactivity

EAssessment

Literacy and ICT

She is now working on evidence for her final two modules in order to achieve EPICT Gold.
